Keep in mind that as much as these horses are injured and hurting in these photos, they must still endure a 2-3 day trip to a Quebec slaughter plant with no water, food, or rest. The wounds and broken limbs are most unlikely to be treated before shipping, and will indeed worsen through jostling, kicking, exhaustion and dehydration.
